The Division of Clinical Haematology is a subspeciality within the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. We provide clinical services to patients who have various haematological (blood-related) disorders that include malignant (leukaemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, myeloproliferative neoplasm and myelodysplastic syndromes) and non-malignant conditions (thalassaemias, other haemoglobinopathies, bleeding disorders, thrombophilic disorders and aplastic anaemia).
We have specialists and consultants who are well-versed and experienced in the delivery of chemo-immunotherapy in haematological malignancies. Our unit also performs both autologous and allogeneic/haploidentical haemapoeitic stem cell transplantation.
Our team is actively involved in cutting edge researches, both industry sponsored and investigator initiated clinical trials. We are also involved in the training of undergraduate MBBS and Master of Internal Medicine students, nursing and dental students.
