Geriatric Medicine Introduction

The Geriatric Unit at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, was established in 1999, was the first dedicated ward for acutely ill older patients in the country. The unit provides outpatient, daycare, liaison, telemedicine, and virtual ward services, all through a multidisciplinary team. It also serves as a training center for doctors specializing in geriatric medicine, as well as for nursing, medical and allied health students.
