Our research team has experience and expertise in several niche areas including, Pituitary Neuro-endocrine research, MASLD (Metabolic Associated Steatotic Liver Disease), Diabetes Technology, Precision in Diabetes Health Care Adminustration, Genetic Epidemiology, Metabolic Bone Disease, Islet-cell Transplantation, Clamp studies and Computer modelling/ IVGTT.
The Endocrine Unit is involved in multiple investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored research projects. The unit has been running clinical trials with the Clinical Investigation Centre in UMMC for decades- landmark multi-national trials in the fields of diabetes and endocrinology that we have contributed to include ADVANCE, ATLANTUS, CANVAS, SOUL, FIGARO, FIDELIO, EXSCEL and PIONEER 6.
