Dermatology Introduction

The Division of Dermatology is one of the prestigious teaching and training centres in Malaysia. We provide great opportunities for those who are interested in the field of dermatology to advance their knowledge and enhance their clinical experience in managing complex skin conditions.

Dermatology is a specialty that encompasses more than 3000 conditions involving skin, hair and nails. This diversity lends itself to a very varied and exciting area of clinical practice with aspects of both medical and surgical dermatology. As a team of dermatologists and physicians, we aim to provide the best evidence-based dermatological care as well as engage in cutting-edge research and teaching activities involving both undergraduate and postgraduate students. We run a comprehensive clinical practice in our teaching hospital, UMMC, where we treat patients with various skin conditions.
